When our plane touched down in Fuerteventura, we were surprised at how otherworldly the island looked. With a dramatic coastline and plenty of wind howling all year long, Fuerteventura is an ocean sports paradise that sits 100km off the northern coast of Africa, and is the second largest of the Canary Islands. We loved hunting for waves along its jagged shores, and have found the best surf camps in Fuerteventura for every ability level.
Note that some surf spots in Fuerteventura are only accessible by car. You’ll need to rent a car or join a surf camp to access some of the island’s best breaks.
